STUDY OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF AN INTENDED USE OFFICE BUILDING

Sapienza University

This project has been developed by a team of four people and is focused on the application of renewable energy technologies and rational use of energy on an intended use office building. On a first step, electrical and thermic consumptions have been calculated. Then all the possible efficiency energy measures have been evaluated and the achievable saving calculated along with the payback period. The energy measures included: insulations of the opaque walls, substitution of glasses, boiler substitution, substitution of illuminating bodies, installation of a heat recuperator on the Air Treatment Unit, installation of a photovoltaic system, installation of a thermic solar system. An energy certification has been generated in order to compare the building energy efficiency before and after the intervention.
